Shop Desk vs Shopmonkey

Shop Desk vs Shopmonkey, From Both Sides' Own Pages

Shopmonkey is a full featured shop system with payments, texting and parts ordering built in. Shop Desk is smaller, starts free and was built by mobile mechanics. Here is a fair comparison, using only what each company publishes.

Free plan, not a trial. No card. We look at every new shop ourselves and switch it on, usually the same day.

The short version

The Honest Answer in Three Lines

Shopmonkey starts at $239 a month with three user licenses, then $20 a month per extra user. Shop Desk has a free plan and Pro at $149 a month.

Shopmonkey has payments, a card reader, parts ordering and QuickBooks on its higher plans. Shop Desk has none of those built in, and cards need a setup call.

Shopmonkey's fine print lists a one time $500 data migration fee. Shop Desk does not charge to move you.
